1. 每位同學必須依其興趣邀請一位相關領域老師（不限本系專任），對其報告論文之選擇、報告內容之組織、及報告技巧予以協助和指導。學生報告時請邀請指導老師出席。 2. 論文之選擇應以2001年以後發表之生命科學相關領域之原創性研究文章（original research paper）(不得選擇 review 綜合論述或 notes, short communication, letter to editor 之類短篇文章），並須獲指導老師同意。論文題目應於開學三週內登記，題目相同時以先登記者優先採用。 3. 論文影本應於一週前送交書報討論主持老師每人一份。報告題目及中文摘要，應於前一週星期五張貼於四樓佈告欄專題討論項下，並於報告前分發同學。摘要內容應包括：報告人姓名、報告時間、地點、指導老師、論文題目、期刊名（卷期、頁數），中文摘要，以及相關參考文獻。 4. 各類型參考文獻之編寫格式範例如下： Published papers Sanger, F., S. Bethesda: National Institute of Health. pp. 21-28. 5. 每人報告時間25 ~ 30分鐘，發問及討論15 ~ 20分鐘。由該堂報告學生互相計時。並於課堂結束交回評比表。 6. 報告時請利用 PowerPoint 檔案輔助演講，字體和圖表均以清晰簡明為原則（如一張投影片只放一個圖或表為宜）。 7. 學期成績，以專題論文報告之準備、現場之表現為主，出席、聽講、發問、及隨堂討論亦將列入考量。報告後兩週內需繳交經修正後之 PwerPoint 電子檔案。 8. 表現不佳（成績低於70分）者必須於期末重講。 9. 無故缺席者，一次扣總分5分，遲到一次扣總分一分，遲到20分鐘以上者，以無故缺席論。
